Toronto, Ontario — July 8, 2016 — Desmond D’Silva, co-founder and CEO of Assured Automotive, has been nominated for an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award in the category of Business & Consumer Services. Assured Automotive is a chain of over 60 collision repair facilities operating throughout Ontario.
As the first and only global award of its kind, the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year award celebrates entrepreneurs who exhibit leadership excellence in growing and dynamic businesses.
“Entrepreneurs have big ideas and take risks as they innovate, create jobs, generate wealth and invest in communities across the country,” said François Tellier, Entrepreneur Of The Year National Program Director for Ernst & Young.
“I feel great about the nomination. I’m humbled,” said D’Silva in a recent interview with Collision Repair magazine. “The nomination is a reflection of the people I have met along the way who have inspired me.”
Tony Canade, President of Assured Automotive, expressed his excitement after hearing about D’Silva’s nomination. “This is a huge accomplishment and one that we are very proud of as an organization.”
