Courtenay, British Columbia — May 5, 2017 — CSN-Reliable Auto Body goes above and beyond to make its community a better place. The facility recently donated one of its former courtesy vehicles for the benefit of youth programs in Courtenay, British Columbia. The donation comes in the form of an auction for the well-cared for courtesy vehicle, a 2009 Pontiac Montana.
Proceeds from the auction are going to the Courtenay Fellowship Baptist Church so the church can continue its youth-focused community work.
“CSN-Reliable Auto Body recently donated one of our courtesy vehicles, a 2009 Pontiac Montana Van to the Courtenay Fellowship Baptist Church for their ‘Junior High’ youth program,” says Lori Egan of CSN-Reliable Auto Body. “They’ll auction the van and use the proceeds to send youth to camp this summer.”
Egan says that she and the other team members at the facility are particularly passionate about the cause. “CSN-Reliable Auto feels it’s important to support the youth in our valley,” she says. “The Courtenay Fellowship Baptist Church youth program runs weekly from 7 to 9 on Mondays, they play games, have a snack, sing songs, and have a time of discussion providing a safe and accepting environment, and helping youth to flourish as created people loved by God.”
The donation is also helping to reduce waste, as there is nothing at all wrong with the vehicle, and it didn’t even require any repairs. According to Egan, the van was in perfect condition.
“Nothing had to be done to the van,” says Egan. “It was fully functional, but had just aged out of use as a courtesy vehicle. CSN-Reliable Auto Body has always been a huge supporter of our local community. We strongly believe you should ‘give where you live!’”
