Kingston, Ontario — July 12, 2016 — CSN-Kingston has achieved I-CAR Gold Class status. A statement from the facility says the investments in people, training and equipment are ongoing, and will help to carry this family business into the next generation.
CSN-Kingston is owned and operated by Pat and Patty Stenson. They founded the facility in 1994. Since it first opened, the shop has since grown to employ a staff of 18, repairing approximately 40 cars per week.
Pat’s experience in the collision repair industry started prior to his career as a shop owner. He worked for a major automotive refinish manufacturer in both sales and sales management positions, which gave him a close-up view of the the industry. Patty left her career as a legal secretary to join him in opening the facility. Today their chidlren, Shawn and Amanda, also play key roles in the operation.
Pat recently joined the advisory council for the CSN Collision Centres network. In this role, he will help to advise the network on important business decisions.
A statement from CSN-Kingston says the credit for the facility’s success comes down to the great relationships they have built with
employees, local OEM dealerships, insurance brokers and agents, as well as insurance companies.
“We constantly strive to improve operations and customer experience,” Pat says. “We want to commit to our employees training to have them grow with the shop.”
The commitment to staff training is paying off, according to Pat. He says the business is continuing to grow through repeat customers and referrals.
Growth means more business, but it often means a need for increased space as well. Plans are in the works currently for an addition to the existing facility, and an application has been filed with city government.
