Moncton, New Brunswick — November 30, 2015 — Dana Alexander of CSN-Dana’s Collision Center got a chance recently to hand over a donation cheque to Debbie Sangster, a volunteer at the Chalmers Hospital Foundation. The cheque for $1,000 was delivered by Alexander, but comes courtesy of the Enterprise Rent-A-Car Foundation.
The cheque was to be given to a local charity on behalf of collision centres in the Maritimes as part of the Hometown Heroes program. CSN-Dana’s Collision Centre was one of two businesses chosen as “Hometown Heroes” in the New Brunswick draw that took place earlier this year in Moncton.
The Chalmers Regional Hospital Foundation raises funds to support healthy, caring communities by enhancing health and well-being through innovative and effective programs and initiatives. All proceeds from this year’s fundraising efforts go to the Chalmers Care for Kids campaign. The largest campaign undertaken by the Chalmers Regional Hospital Foundation to date, this $2.2M project will completely renovate the current pediatric unit. The Pediatric Unit at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital provides care to children from infancy up to 17 years of age with a wide variety of health conditions.
