Hinton, Alberta — CSN Cascade was hoping for around 30 vehicles at its Cruz’in for Cancer car show and fundraiser this past Saturday, so the team was over the moon when more than 60 cars showed out for their event.
“Keith and Krista Schappert (management of CSN Cascade) and the Cascade team did an amazing job organizing the show and bringing the community together,” said Mike Boucher, manager of CSN Avalon in nearby Slave Lake, Alta. “I’m pretty excited that CSN Avalon could have a small part in it all.”
The event also featured a silent auction and plenty of food for attendees. Proceeds will be donated to two local families in Hinton, Alta.
The sheer number of rides that showed up wasn’t the only surprise—according to Boucher, “there was not one trailer queen in sight.”
