Las Vegas, Nevada — SEMA has announced the COVID-19 safety protocols that it will be implementing at this year’s aftermarket trade show.
Firstly, all attendees must wear a mask or face shield to attend the event.
SEMA said they will also designate “entrance and exit areas to control and screen visitors with discrete daily health queries, incorporating non-invasive thermal cameras, etc.”
The floorplan has been designed to include hand sanitizer every 200 feet, as well as one-way aisles where ever possible. Touch points at onsite registration will also be reduced with satellite stations, preregistration and badges delivered by mail.
According to SEMA, high traffic areas including doorways, elevators and escalators will be sanitized every hour.
“Just like the world we live in today, this year’s SEMA Show will be different,” said Tom Gattuso SEMA events Vice President. “We recognize the challenges that the industry is going through, and we’ve made changes so that the industry will be able to gather and conduct business safely.”
