Montreal, Quebec — The Quebec Association of Auto Parts Recyclers (ARPAC) members gathered last week on September 15 and 16, 2023 to hold its annual congress. The event was held at the beautiful Château-Bromont, inside the Ski Bromont resort, one hour east of Montreal, Quebec.
The theme for this year’s event was “Soyons branches!”, “Let’s be connected!” was meant to reflect a sense of harmony with the changes they are experiencing due to the electrification of transport and with the focus on staying ahead of future changes coming to the industry.
Friday morning’s welcome arrival after check-in gave the attendees an opportunity to explore the area with some great adventures of mountain biking on the hills. Later, there was a game of golf at the Club de Golf Le Royal Bromont. The evening gathering included a meet and greet followed by a great BBQ supper held on the terrace overlooking the ski resort and hotel property.
Arpac CEO, Simon Matte, opened the event Saturday morning with annual general meetings with board members present. This was followed by a lunch and a tradeshow with 12 exhibitors meant to aid recycling members in learning more about the latest technology and product offerings. Later, there was a fundraising car auction held to benefit the ARPAC foundation, which raised $27,600.
The festive evening banquet included a delicious gourmet sit down dinner, prize draws donated by manufacturers and the night ended with some great D.J. entertainment that had everyone hopping and enjoying the rest of the night.
