Toronto, Ontario — March 27, 2018 — Copart, a global vehicle auction company, recently announced the promotion of Anthony Monas to eastern regional manager of Copart Canada.
“Copart Canada’s growth through the years prompted the need for a second regional manager,” said managing director Steve Macaluso. “Monas’ new role will include working with our entire team to continue enhancing Copart Canada’s operations.”
Monas, who has more than eleven years of experience in the automotive remarketing industry, served for four years as the general manager of Copart’s Toronto location. During his time at Copart, he has been involved in many of Copart Canada’s expansion efforts, including the integration of Copart Montreal and, most recently, the opening of Copart Canada’s seventh location in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
As eastern regional manager, Monas will be responsible for monitoring and providing support for Copart Canada’s Eastern locations, including Halifax, Moncton, Montreal and Toronto. He will work in tandem with Copart Canada’s western regional manager, Kevin Kotnik, to ensure that operational needs are met across Canada. “I’m grateful for this tremendous opportunity and I look forward to working toward the growth and development of Copart Canada,” said Monas.
