Saskatoon, Saskatchewan — They asked, you answered, and now it is official—this year’s SAAR will be packed into two days, with the originally scheduled third day left open to allow attendees to travel home.
The always accommodating Saskatchewan Association of Automotive Repairers (SAAR) will now be meeting from Sept. 7 to Sept. 8, with the Saturday of the 9th now open for travel.
This year’s event will be a multi-venue affair, with the first half kicking off at noon at the Dakota Dunes Resort Golf Course for the annual SAAR golf tournament.
The following day will see the conference migrate over to the Prairieland Park Conference centre, where guest speakers, a tradeshow and afterparty events will be hosted.
Guests of this year’s conference are set to include Dave Luehr of Elite Bodyshop Solutions and Ryan Mandell of Mitchell International, among a number of other influential industry figures.
Additionally, a number of skills competitions and educational breakout sessions will take place throughout the day, offering a valuable experience to both owner and technician alike.
Organizers say tickets will soon be made available on Eventbrite, however, prospective attendees are encouraged to book their hotel rooms now.
