Toronto, Ontario — Sharing its spot on the red carpet with its valued members, CIECA unveiled its 2021 award winners at SEMA this month.
CIECA recognized the four award winners at the SEMA Red Carpet Awards Breakfast on Nov. 3.
The award for Electronic Commerce Company of the Year was given to Car-Part.com, and accepted by its founding CEO Jeff Schroder, “for its extensive committee involvement and promoting CIECA Standards throughout the industry.”
Axalta’s Tom McGarry was honoured with the Outstanding Contribution award for his 25 years of dedication to his company as a marketing and strategy Manager. McGarry retired from the industry in July.
Two Chairperson’s Awards were given out to Kim DeVallance Caron from Enterprise and Dan Webster from Mitchell International for their exceptional work on CIECA’s various committees.
According to CIECA’s press release, DeVallance Caron “was instrumental in helping during CIECA’s staffing transition when Paul Barry, executive director, and Paulette Reed, technical project manager, joined the organization.”
As well, Webster “was recognized for his outstanding leadership on the Architecture Committee, which is currently working on transitioning to CIECA’s API Standards (CAPIS).”
