St. John’s, Newfoundland – July 27, 2016 — Continuing what has become a company tradition in recent years, Colonial Auto Parts yesterday (July 26) paid homage to their clientele, hosting its fourth annual customer appreciation Golf Classic.
Welcoming a number of individuals representing various body shops and industry-related organizations across the east coast, Colonial President and CEO Douglas Squires said he was delighted to be able to recognize the auto parts company’s “incredibly loyal” customers.
“This tournament is something we came up with a few years ago to enable us to show our thanks and gratitude to all those in the industry that supports our organization,” Squires told Collision Repair magazine. “It’s a fun, laid back day on the golf course. We always put up a nice prize at the end of the day. It’s just a way for us to give back to an industry that gives so much.”
This year, Colonial put up a trip for two to an upcoming Monreal Canadiens game as the grand prize.
While the primary aim of the Classic is to strengthen the company’s rapport with its existing customers, Squires said he also sees it as an opportunity grow its existing network.
“In this industry, reputation and word of mouth goes an awful long way – it’s a tightly knit industry in the way that a lot of people engage and communicate with one another,” Squires said.
Operating since 1926, Colonial Auto Parts is a family-owned, third generation company that currently has 13 locations spread across Newfoundland and Nova Scotia. For more information, visit colonialautoparts.ca.
