Collision Repair Magazine EV Repair Tour, supported by Fix Network, announces next stops in Quebec, Nova Scotia

Toronto, Ontario — Collision Repair magazine’s EV Repair Tour supported by Fix Network, is bringing its EV Repair Tour to Blainville, Quebec, on September 18, 2024, and Halifax, Nova Scotia, on October, 8, 2024.

This all-day event is designed to equip all members of the collision repair economy with insights into electric vehicle (EV) repair.

The Quebec event will take place at the Fix Network Training Centre in Blainville, Quebec, while the Halifax, Nova Scotia, event will take place at the CAA Atlantic Halifax location, at 202 Chain Lake Drive Halifax, Nova Scotia B3S 1C5.

Repairing EVs involved in collisions is substantially more difficult and dangerous than traditional internal combustion engine vehicles. Currently, more than 240,000 EVs are registered in Quebec and, according to claims data from Mitchell, Quebec has the third-highest EV claims frequency in North America. The automotive industry must understand how to repair these vehicles.

This free workshop aims to empower all verticals of the industry from tow truck companies to collision repairers, and auto recyclers with the expertise required to safely handle, repair and in certain cases, dispose of EVs involved in accidents. Also key to this audience are the insurance companies and brokers who manage and pay the claims.

Experts will cover topics such as the lessons from global EV repair markets, how to establish Canada’s EV repair identity, what EVs mean for repair businesses and the evolution of EV collision repair.
