Chip Foose’s Glasurit painted ‘Impostor’ takes top award at NACE

Detroit, Michigan — August 7, 2015 — Chip Foose of Foose Design won the Top Custom Car Award from the Automotive Service Association (ASA) at the recent NACE show in Detroit for his restyled 1965 Chevy Impala “Impostor.”

Impostor features a custom paint from BASF’s Glasurit 90-Line in Impostor Pearl Dark and Impostor Pearl Light. This vehicle also won the 2015 Ridler Award at the Detroit Autorama in March. The Ridler is one of the custom car industry’s most prestigious awards.

The award was presented to Foose and members of the BASF Automotive Refinish team at the recent 2015 National Autobody Congress and Exposition (NACE/CARS) in Detroit.
