Toronto, Ontario — January 22, 2019 — Canadian Collision Industry Forum is kicking off the new year in style at its 20th-anniversary gala, which will be held this Thursday and Friday at the Marriott Toronto Airport hotel.
The event, which will get underway with a Showcase and Showroom event at 1 p.m. on Jan. 24, will celebrate the industry forum’s diverse history and highlight the impact its events have had on the collision repair community.
Following the Showroom event will be a cocktail hour beginning at 6 p.m., with doors to the ballroom opening up at 7 p.m. Former CCIF chairs Ken Friesen, Glenn Hickey, Tom Bissonnette, Tony Canade, Larry Jefferies and Joe Carvalho will all be present to discuss industry topic with attendees.
A message from current CCIF chair Patrice Marcil will be made at 7:45 p.m., followed by dinner at 8 p.m. and later a speech on kicking off the next 20 years with disruption innovation strategist Shawn Kanungo.
The night will conclude with an opportunity for guests to network at 10 p.m.
Festivities will carry-on into the next day with a registration breakfast being held from 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., directly followed by a meeting concluding at 3:30 p.m.
Guest speakers for Friday’s meeting include Brad Mewes, Supplement; Ryan Mandell, Mitchell; Jason Bartanen, I-CAR US; Krzysztof Czarnecki, University of Waterloo; Andrew King, DesRosiers; Rémy Rousseau, Rémy Rousseau Group Automotive Consultants Inc., Brigitte Pesant, AIA Canada and Marcil.
Jay Perry, a long-time member of the collision industry community, will speak at a leadership lunch event taking place between noon and 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. Perry will share information on the importance of having the right leader as well as ideas on how to determine the best course of action for your company.
Single tickets for the event are currently on sale for $275, with the option of buying two tickets for $500 and a table of 10 for $2,500 also available.
