Montreal, Quebec — May 25, 2018 — Last Thursday and Friday in Montreal, the Canadian Collision Industry Forum (CCIF) held a record-breaking meeting with more than 400 progressive collision repairers, manufacturers and suppliers coming together to tackle some of the most pressing issues facing the industry.
Packed into the Marriott Airport Hotel, the meeting was a veritable who’s who of the automotive aftermarket. Kicking off with a networking event on Thursday evening, new friendships were founded and old friends had the chance to reconnect.
In her opening address on Friday, CCIF director Brigitte Pesant invited the audience to participate in a series of survey questions about their hopes for the event, with the audience able to respond in real-time via an app tailor made for the event.
“2019 is a big year for CCIF” she said, “We will be celebrating its 20th birthday after next year’s event, which will be held in Toronto.”
Pesant’s speech was not the only portion of the event to make use of the interactive app. In a well-received panel discussion with insurers addressing fraud in the collision repair industry with CCIF Chairman Patrice Marcil, it was used to ask questions that might have been considered too sensitive for in a more public setting.
As the conference drew to a close, Marcil delivered closing remarks thanking participants for their efforts over the course of the forum, and the importance of CCIF’s role within the collision repair community.
CRM’s full breakdown of CCIF will appear in the August edition of CRM.
