Ohio, United States — An explosion at an autobody shop in Hillsboro, Ohio, U.S. killed three people and sent another to hospital earlier this week. The cause of the blast is still under investigation.
The Ohio State Fire Marshal’s Office is leading an official investigation into the cause of the explosion, which occurred this past Tuesday afternoon at Jimbo’s Auto Repair.
The fire burned for more than ten hours and was finally extinguished around midnight.
“It definitely did rock and shake the area,” a Fire Chief responding to the scene told Fox News media reps.
A local resident claims the blast blew out windows on the front of his home. The above-quoted Fire Chief responding to the scene said the explosion was felt from the firehouse, which is approximately five blocks from the bodyshop.
