Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island — August 28, 2016 — CARSTAR Canada held its 21st annual industry conference in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, from August 24 to 26.
With a general theme focusing on the company uniting as ‘1’, this year’s conference also showcased the continued unification of CARSTAR Canada and US into CARSTAR North America.
“We are one CARSTAR. We have one vision, one mission and one core set of values,” says Michael Macaluso, President of CARSTAR North America. “This is year one for CARSTAR, as we are venturing into a new beginning and a new journey, built upon the same culture of excellence and fighting spirit. For CARSTAR, it is not only about being number one in our industry, it is about being a part of one community, having one united focus and driving forward as one CARSTAR family.”
The conference kicked off on August 24 with CARSTAR’s annual Walk to Support Cystic Fibrosis Canada before driving forward into a full schedule of influential speakers, expert break-out sessions, intriguing panel discussions and an informative vendor expo.
Dr. Nick Bontis served as the first of several keynote speakers. One of the world’s leading experts on intellectual capital and its impact on performance, Bontis is renowned for helping organizations leverage their most important intangible assets for sustainable competitive advantage. Joining Bontis in speaking at the conference were best-selling business author Jay Papasan and finance guru Etienne Berlinguet.
Closing out the conference, CARSTAR celebrated the best of the organization at a lavish premiere gala dinner and awards ceremony on August 26.
