Hamilton, Ontario — September 26, 2013 — Leveraging the success of its #lovethejourney campaign and national television campaign this year, CARSTAR Automotive Canada has announced a promotional partnership which will position CARSTAR as the Canadian presenting sponsor of the Saturday Night Live (SNL) premiere this Saturday September 28.
Kicking off its 39th season, SNL is an Emmy Award-winning sketch comedy show and is one of the most recognizable shows on TV.
SNL has launched the careers of iconic comedians including Eddy Murphy, Dan Akroyd and Mike Myers. This year’s premiere will be hosted by actress, comedian, writer and past cast-member Tina Fey. Notably, the musical guest will be Canadian band Arcade Fire.
Airing nationally on Global TV, CARSTAR will be co-branded in the show’s promotional spot, which has been on air since September 14.
In addition to the television presence, CARSTAR will be featured as the main sponsor on the Global SNL Web site leading up to and following the premiere.
