Hamilton, Ontario — July 23, 2015 — Members and partners of CARSTAR Automotive Canada will have their eyes on the action at the RBC Canadian Open at Oakville’s Glen Abbey Golf Course this week, where CARSTAR and Canadian Professional Golfer Brad Fritsch will kick off the #BF4CF (Brad Fritsch for Cystic Fibrosis) campaign in support of Cystic Fibrosis Canada.
The #BF4CF campaign will see CARSTAR donating $1,000 for every birdie that Brad Fritch makes throughout the tournament. On top of that, Fritsch has committed a personal donation to the cause and has also called on members of his hometown Ottawa Senators hockey club to contribute to the program.
“We wish Brad the best of luck this weekend and we’re sure he’ll post some great scores,” says Chris Moore, National Marketing Manager at CARSTAR. “Just a few weeks ago we raised over $25,000 for CF Canada at our annual CARSTAR golf tournament, so when this opportunity came to have a presence at an official PGA event, we jumped at it.”
On partnering with CARTSAR and Cystic Fibrosis Canada, Fritsch comments “I have been very fortunate over the years not only in my golf career, but also to have a beautiful family at home. When I was approached by a member of Cystic Fibrosis Canada, I was moved by the stories I was hearing and was immediately inspired to help out where I could.”
Be sure to follow Fritsch’s progress over the weekend by following him at @BradFritsch and keep track of the running total donation by following CARSTAR @carstarcanada.
Fritsch hails from Ottawa, Ontario and is a married father of two girls. Most recently he qualified and played in the US Open at Chambers Bay, where he not only made the cut, but finished in a very respectable position tied for 46th.
