Edmonton, Alberta — December 1, 2017 — The certification gold rush continues in Canada as CARSTAR’s Edmonton South shop recently earned both the Toyota Certified Collision Centre designation as well as the I-CAR Gold Class accreditation.
“We are very proud to have CARSTAR Edmonton South recognized as one of the top collision centres in Canada,” said Michael Macaluso, President of CARSTAR North America.
I-CAR’s Gold Class recognition is the “highest role-relevant training achievement recognized by the collision repair industry”, according to the association. It is estimated that only 10 percent of repair shops currently meet the standards required.
The I-CAR Professional Development Program provides collision repair and insurance businesses with a reliable training framework for acquiring the Gold Class recognition and maintaining the up-to-date knowledge and skills that contribute to “proper repairs, improved business performance and risk reduction.”
The bodyshop was also awarded the Toyota Certified Collision Centre designation. The program demands the latest equipment, up-to-date training and a “flawless” repair process – one that ensures that a bodyshop’s customers receive the “best repairs possible. The goal of the program is to guide repairers in returning vehicles to original factory specifications to ensure that customer safety is never compromised.
A statement from CARSTAR on Edmonton South’s two certifications reads: “These two honours reflect countless hours of training, a commitment to excellent customer service and an ongoing investment in advanced repair technology.”
