Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec — February 16, 2018 — Carossier ProColor announced the certification of its Saint-Hyacinthe location with I-CAR Gold Class status, located at 17550 St-Louis Avenue in Saint-Hyacinthe.
Involved since January 2017 in the process of obtaining the Gold Class certification, the team of six technicians and an estimator have been working hard over the last year to meet the I-CAR requirements: “Our employees have followed I-CAR training randomly over the years but the intensive training for the Gold status began in January 2017 and was completed last July,” says Robin Morissette, owner of Carrossier ProColor Saint-Hyacinthe Centre.
When a shop is certified Gold Class, it means that it has the necessary skills to put a vehicle back into pre-accident condition, while maximizing safety and value. For Morissette, I-CAR training and high-quality repairs go hand-in-hand. “It raises the awareness of technicians on several levels. They realize that improvisation when they don’t have the necessary information in carrying out very specific tasks is now prohibited,” says Morissette.
The I-CAR program is a development program for all automotive technicians and estimators. According to the company, the program allows shops to remain on the cutting edge of technology. “All shops should aim to be certified I-CAR Gold Class as it only has positive outcomes at all levels,” concludes Morissette.
