Calgary, Alberta — February 11, 2016 — Carlson Body Shop Supply and BASF Canada have teamed up to give members of the collision repair industry an evening with Chip Foose. The event will take place at the Color Compass Training Centre in Calgary, Alberta on Friday, February 19.
“This is a unique opportunity for those in the collision industry in Southern Alberta to meet the master car builder in person,” says Emile Fremont of Carlson Body Shop Supply. “Attendees will be able to have their picture taken with Chip as well as experience the Foose magic live by watching him sketch designs inspired by The World of Wheels ‘Pedal Car Challenge.’”
The Pedal Car Challenge is an event sponsored yearly by Carlson Body Shop Supply in conjunction with Student Day at The World of Wheels Car Show in Calgary. In a nutshell, the Pedal Car Challenge is an opportunity for teams of high school, technical school and college students to apply their technical skills in a hands-on project that involves planning, design, creativity, productivity and resourcefulness.
Foose will also be on hand at this event, but World of Wheels is open to the public. The event hosted by Carlson and BASF is limited to industry only.
Attendees of the special event at the Color Compass training centre will also have the opportunity to bid on custom painted peddle cars designed and signed by Foose, with proceeds going to local high school auto body programs. Many of the high school students and instructors competing have been invited and will be in attendance.
Carlson Body Shop Supply, along with partner BASF Canada, will also sponsor a Chip Foose autograph session at the 50th Anniversary of the World of Wheels Car Show on Saturday February 20.
