Toronto, Ontario – July 31, 2018 –– A shocking amount of Canadians are not comparing insurance rates despite increasing costs across Canada.
According to a recent report by LowestRate.ca, 37 percent of Canadians are not comparing or researching car insurance rates before making a purchase.
“This makes it all the more important that consumers utilize the full gamut of resources available to find the rate that works best for them,” said Justin Thouin, Co-founder and CEO of LowestRates.ca. “Unfortunately, we know that over a third of the country is not doing that, and as a result, are likely paying more than they need to for their auto insurance.”
Data shows that baby boomers and women are most likely not to compare rates.
