Toronto, Ontario — Derek Willshire, regional vice president for LKQ Canada, will now lead the company’s operations across all of Canada.
Previously, Willshire led the company’s operations in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, Ontario and Manitoba. The Western provinces fell under the same jurisdiction as LKQ’s Western U.S. operations.
“I’m a proud Canadian, and I’m thrilled to represent LKQ across all of Canada” Willshire told Collision Repair magazine.
“I have a tremendous amount of respect for Justin Jude, president of wholesale for LKQ’s North American operations,” said Willshire. “We’ve been anticipating this change and we’re happy to move into this new era for LKQ Canada.”
Willshire said the change has already been welcomed by industry partners nationwide, particularly insurance companies and MSOs seeking a coast-to-coast, national network.
“I am very honored to have been bestowed this role,” said Willshire. “I’ve been given the opportunity to grow our business in Canada and I can assure you I will be doing just that: growing our footprint and our revenues while creating plenty of jobs for people that want to work in this great industry.”
