Dave Assman first attempted to put his last name on a licence plate in 1990 but was rejected by the Saskatchewan Government Insurance (SGI) for “profanity.” He recently tried again, and this time SGI denied it because it was suggestive or not in good taste. So Assman – pronounced OSS-men- took some action and decided to get an oversized decal designed to replicate the plate that he wanted on the tailgate of his white Dodge Ram pickup truck. “I could have got a plate for the front, but I really wanted a vanity plate on the back of my truck!” Assman wrote in a social media post showing off the decal. So now drivers following behind his truck will see “Saskatchewan ASSMAN” in big letters on his tailgate.
Musk Approved
A Russian teenager refitted his vehicle to make it look like he was driving backwards. The teen’s vehicle was then posted to social media by Russian television station NTV, tagging Tesla CEO Elon Musk in it. The video showed a weird car driving backwards on a road, and was captioned with “And how do you like this @elonmusk?” Tesla CEO Elon Musk replied saying “haha awesome.” Although he received Musk’s approval, the teen was later charged with driving without insurance, driving backwards and illegally refitting an automobile.
