Calibration Crew: AirPro Diagnostics partners with adasThink

Toronto, Ontario — Today, AirPro Diagnostics announced its strategic partnership with adasThink, to deliver the technology required for ADAS calibrations to its customers with no added cost.

AirPro Diagnostics is proud to be the first to offer adasThink technology integrated into its cloud-based diagnostic platform, to elevate the ease of access for shops to identify vehicles requiring ADAS calibrations, for repairers across North America, according to their press release.

“Assisting repair facilities to identify required ADAS calibrations on the vehicles they repair is a value we recognized.  We are excited to provide this to our valued customers,” said Eric Newell, executive VP of AirPro Diagnostics. “Education to the repair community is one of our key strategic focuses, this service bodes well to help repairers get access to the service information they need to perform complete repairs. Yet another way AirPro can help our customers deliver safe repairs.”

“We’re excited to work with AirPro and that they will be expanding their industry-leading diagnostic capabilities,” Nick Dominato, co-founder of adasThink told Collision Repair. “With the powerful combination of adasThink with AirPro and their fantastic team, we can deliver a great customer and diagnostic experience for body shops across North America.”

adasThink provides technology that allows an estimate to be analyzed against correlating OE procedures and assess which ADAS features a vehicle has the services and calibrations required, and access to the information to perform a complete and safe repair.

AirPro Diagnostics provides remote scanning, diagnostics, programming, and calibration services to shops across North America.

A recent study released by adasThink found that 88 percent of calibrations were missed on estimates within the study (by bodyshops and insurers). Although calibrations are required by OEMs, quite a few repairers struggle with knowing when and how to perform them, which can lead to tremendous liability on the backs of repairers.

“We provide half of the equation and AirPro provides the other half,” said Dominato. “Once adasThink illustrates that calibration must be performed, the shop needs to act with that information. We’re pretty excited that AirPro is going to be able to fill that gap, cut down on cycle time, and be able to perform a lot of those calibrations remotely for the shops.”

The AirPro scan tool and system meet rigorous vehicle manufacturer requirements by having OEM licensed software and scan-tool hardware resident or local to the vehicle.

ORION, AirPro’s cloud-based diagnostic management system, is the hub where all services are delivered within the company’s 10-Minute Response Pledge.

AirPro Diagnostics is backed by a team of uniquely skilled, highly trained diagnostic technicians, who provide reliable, efficient, and accurate scanning of diagnostic and calibration solutions; utilizing properly licensed OEM software that meets the highest level of quality and safety standards

  1. I appreciate that this post shared that it is important for us to be vigilant in maintaining our ADAS system as it will ensure that the system is operating well. My dad mentioned he is planning to have his car serviced. So, when I speak with him later, I will advise him to ensure that he has his ADAS recalibrated too.
