Lewisville, Texas — July 4, 2016 — The collision repair industry across North America has reason to be proud. Steve Grimshaw, CEO of US-based consolidator Caliber Collision, has been named Ernst & Young’s 2016 Southwest Entrepreneur of the Year in the services category.
The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards is a global competition that encourages entrepreneurship. The awards were founded in 1986. Grimshaw received the prestigious award at the annual Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Gala in Dallas, Texas, which honours and recognizes the men and women who create the products, services and jobs that help our economy and communities grow.
“I am honoured and humbled to receive this award on behalf of Caliber’s 9,000 teammates who are dedicated to achieving our overall company purpose, which is to Restore the Rhythm of Lives for our customers, team members, and the local communities that we serve,” said Grimshaw in accepting the award.
Grimshaw was selected for this top award by a panel of business leaders for his strategic tenets to drive incremental business while providing operational consistency, customer satisfaction and managing overall costs.
Since Grimshaw took the reins in 2009, Caliber Collision has grown from 68 locations to 412 collision centres. Total staff has increased from 2,100 to 9,000 today.
