Boucherville, Quebec — December 2, 2016 — Pacific Parts’ two locations in the greater Vancouver area will soon be rebranded and restocked as Bumper to Bumper stores, thanks to an acquisition by Uni-Select. The acquisition comes as one of the two latest in a line of recent acquisitions for the company. Uni-Select’s subsidiary Finishmaster also recently acquired Autobody Supply with nine locations in Ohio.
This comes after Finishmaster’s acquisition of Gladwin Paints, one of the biggest automotive paint distributors in the southwest US, earlier this year. Earlier this year in Canada, Uni-Select announced the acquisition of Pièces D’autos and entered into an agreement to acquire Jean Talon Auto Parts and Centre de Pièces Gagnon.
According to a press release by Uni-Select, the buyout was in line with their current plans for growth in integral locales.
“The addition of these two locations to our network is fully aligned with our goal of building density in key markets, accelerating growth and maintaining our leadership position in the Canadian automotive aftermarket,” said Gary O’Connor, President and Chief Operating Officer, Automotive Canada.
Pacific Parts was already a partner of Uni-Select before the acquisition. This acquisition adds the existing Pacific Parts stores to Bumper to Bumper’s network of over 150 stores across Canada.
