Brantford, Ontario — CARSTAR Brantford and CARSTAR Brantford West teamed up to do their part to clean up their community, one car at a time, as the Torcam Group of shops banded together once more for the Soap It Up Car Wash for Cystic Fibrosis.
The CARSTAR Brantford location hosted the event last Friday, offering car washes in exchange for $5 donations to cystic fibrosis-related charities.
“As a family-run business, community means a great deal to us, so it is important to do our part and organize events like this so we can all give back to those in need,” said Sebastian Torres, a general manager at Torcam Group.
“We are proud of the support we received from the people of Brantford, and it was an incredible afternoon for our entire team. We are truly grateful for everyone who came out to the event.”
The pair of shops managed to raise more than $5,000 for cystic fibrosis research this time around, a cause very near to the hearts of those at Torcam.
“Although the pandemic has affected everyone, now more than ever, we realize the lengths those living with cystic fibrosis must go through every day to keep their immune system and lungs healthy,” continued Torres.
“The CF community is resilient, and we look forward to continuing our support for them until we change the meaning of CF to ‘cure found.’”
