Brand New Banner: Uni-Select announces banner program, honours Canadian suppliers

Las Vegas, Nevada — On Thursday, Uni-Select CEO Brent Windom addressed crowds at AAPEX to announce a new national banner program—Bumper to Bumper Auto Service—launching next year.

The company has operated its Bumper to Bumper—Canada’s Parts People for auto parts wholesalers since 2006. The new program, catering to repair facilities, will be designed to promote customer loyalty and service providers in their local communities.

The program will cater to independent repair facilities across Canada, giving them an opportunity to rebrand and offer different value propositions for their customers. Bumper to Bumper Auto Service will be mutually beneficial, with service providers acquiring marketing and business tools while Uni-Select builds stronger relationships with repair facilities.

Uni-Select’s existing banner, the Uni-Pro program, will continue offering its services to any shops that decide not to rebrand.

“We know what great feels like,” stated Windom. “We have more than 2,300 shops that banner through us today, so we know that we’ll migrate a certain number of those who want to step up through the program.”

He did not mention how many Bumper to Bumper Auto Service shops Uni-Select hopes to establish in the new year.

Uni-Select also recently honoured the winners of its annual awards for Canadian supply partners, celebrating the achievements, innovation and service of its most performant partners.

This year, Uni-Select’s long-time partner SureWerx received the diamond award, the highest recognition granted to a supplier that provides quality products and services. The company was celebrated for its high-quality sales tools, fill rate, lead time, inventory management and service, such as training, tech, and manpower support.

Other winners were honoured for partner programs in the company’s Golden Ally awards, as well as in sales performance.

Blue Streak-Hygrade Motor Products won an award for its sales tools for independent jobbers; while Tenneco, now known as DriV, won the marketing campaign of the year.

Dorman Products took home an award for its tech-savviness; BBB Industries scored the best sales performance for automotive parts; PPG Canada snagged an award for its paint and body equipment sales, and NOCO grabbed the prize for tools and equipment sales performances.
