Chicago, Illinois — July 20, 2016 — The Boyd Group has announced its 21st shop acquisition since the start of 2016.
The Winnipeg-based consolidator recently acquired a collision repair centre in Statesville, North Carolina. The facility previously operated as Black’s Collision Repair and served a six-brand dealership group.
Statesville is in central North Carolina, about 40 miles north of Charlotte.
“We are very pleased to add this centre which has served Statesville and the surrounding community for over 40 years,” said Tim O’Day, President and COO of the Boyd Group’s US operations. “It increases our presence in the Charlotte region and is also in close proximity to our centers in the Winston-Salem area. With 28 locations, we have established a statewide presence in North Carolina and grown to become a leading provider of collision repair services.”
This is the second acquisition this month for Boyd Group. The summer season seems to have done nothing to slow down the company’s expansion drive, with four additional locations acquired in June.
Three acquisitions were made in May, including the acquisition of a facility in British Columbia. Boyd Group also acquired two facilities in April, one in Indiana and one in Ohio.
In March, Boyd Group acquired a facility in Florida, as well as a five shop chain in Oregon. The first two months of 2016 saw Boyd acquire four facilities, including two shops from a licensed partner in British Columbia.
