Winnipeg, Manitoba — September 10, 2017 — The Boyd Group has announced the acquisition of a new collision repair centre in Westerville, Ohio. The facility previously operated as Glassburn Body Shop. Westerville is located 10 miles north of Ohio’s capital city of Columbus.

“With this centre we continue to fortify our strong presence in the state of Ohio. The Westerville location is the sixth repair center in a 25 mile radius and this comprehensive coverage will allow for us to better serve our customers and insurance partners in the area,” said Tim O’Day, President and COO of the Boyd Group’s US operations. “We look forward to becoming part of this growing community and continuing to provide the quality service this centre has delivered over its 20-year history.”

Boyd Group’s largest acquisition this year, and possibly to date, was the blockbuster deal for Ontario mega-chain Assured Automotive. Boyd announced in late May it would pay $193.6 million for Assured, including $146 million in cash and units in the Boyd Group Income Fund. The Boyd Group also announced the acquisition of Concours Collision Centres in August. The multi-store operation, consisting of four collision repair facilities located in Calgary, was previously owned by Ken Friesen.
