Winnipeg, Manitoba — May 4, 2016 — The Boyd Group is growing again in the US, this time with the acquisition of Faith Autobody in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. The newly-acquired facility will operate under the Gerber & Collision Glass name.
“Our new location in Rocky Mount is a welcome addition to our centres in the Raleigh area and will help us serve our customers and insurance partners in the coastal plain region of the state,” says Tim O’Day, President and COO of the Boyd Group’s US operations. “We look forward to becoming part of the community and introducing the Gerber brand of high quality and friendly service.”
The Boyd Group has been on something of an acquisition drive lately. In fact, the company has acquired more collision repair facilities in the first quarter of 2016 than it did during the entirety of 2015.
The company hasn’t been in the least secretive about its growth plans. In an official statement accompanying the company’s financial results for 2015, CEO Brock Bulbuck indicated that further growth is planned in 2016. The strategy calls for the size of the overall business to double in the next five years, with growth from both increased sales and further acquisitions.
“Looking forward, we will continue to pursue accretive growth through a combination of organic growth (same store sales growth) as well as acquisitions and new store development,” said Bulbuck. “Acquisitions will include both single location acquisitions as well as multi-location acquisitions. Combined, we expect this strategy to generate growth sufficient to double the size of our business over the next five years, implying an average annual growth rate of 15 percent.”
