Winnipeg, Manitoba — October 23, 2016 — The Winnipeg-based Boyd Group has announced the addition of two new facilities to its operations. The new body shops are located in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and in Battle Creek, Michigan. This follows hot on the heels of the company’s recent expansion in North Carolina.

Both of the new collision facilities will operate under the Gerber Collision & Glass name.

The collision repair centre in Indiana is located on a high traffic intersection in close proximity to Interstate 69. It is about five miles southwest from an existing Gerber shop on Merkler Street in Fort Wayne.

“We are very pleased to be opening this location which provides increased capacity in northwest Fort Wayne and allows us to better serve customers and our insurance partners,” said Tim O’Day, President and COO of the Boyd Group’s US operations. “With 24 locations, we now have a solid footprint in Indiana which will drive increased brand recognition and customer loyalty.”

The shop in Michigan is located on a major roadway in an active retail district. The facility previously operated as M-66 Auto Body & Frame.

“We are pleased to add this centre which has served the Battle Creek community since 1979,” said O’Day. “We will maintain the high level of customer service and quality that has been established over the past 37 years and that we are known for at all of our Gerber repair centres.”
