Chicago, Illinois — August 1, 2016 — We reported on the Boyd Group’s 22nd acquisition of 2016 just last week. Before the dust has even settled, we’ve received news that the company has made another acquisition. This time, though, Boyd has acquired a multi-store operation (MSO) consisting of 10 collision repair facilities.
“We are very excited to add these new locations, which have served the Cincinnati market area well for over 25 years,” said Tim O’Day, President and COO of the Boyd Group’s US operations. “We look forward to becoming part of these communities and the opportunity to provide the friendly service and quality repairs that Gerber is known for.”
The MSO was founded in 1990 and previously operated as Collision Care Centers. The facilities are located in Ohio and Kentucky. The newly acquired centres are located in the Ohio communities of Blue Ash, Cincinnati (two locations), Fairfield, Lebanon, Madeira, Maineville, Milford, and Wilmington, with an additional location in Southgate, Kentucky.
“These repair centres are important additions to our portfolio which complement our recently added locations in Dayton, Ohio and Indianapolis, Indiana to create an expanded footprint in the Midwest. As well, with this acquisition Gerber has established a presence in Kentucky, its 20th state,” O’Day said.
The new facilities will operate under the Gerber Collision & Glass name. Boyd Group is based out of Winnipeg, Man., and operates collision repair facilities in five provinces and throughout the US.
