Winnipeg, Manitoba — January 17, 2017 — The Boyd Group has passed a new milestone with its latest acquisition. The company, headquartered in Winnipeg, now has over 400 shops in its chain.
“This significant growth–more than double our store count at the beginning of 2012–is a testament to the skill and hard work of our team to identify, acquire and operate high quality locations,” said Tim O’Day, President and COO of the Boyd Group.
The Boyd Group has announced the acquisition of three collision repair facilities and an active intake center in the Phoenix, Arizona area. The locations previously operated under the Brighton Collision Center name and began serving the community in 2005.
“We are very pleased to be adding these centers which enhance our strong presence in the Phoenix area, one of the fastest growing regions in the country,” said O’Day. “This increased footprint will help us better serve both prospective and existing customers, along with our insurance partners.”
The Boyd Group operates locations in five Canadian provinces as well as in 20 US states. The US shops operate under the trade name Gerber Collision & Glass. The company is also a major player in the retail auto glass space, with locations in 31 US states under a number of different brands.
