Peterborough, Ontario — November 25, 2016 — Body shop management system BodyshopConnect and team communication app CosmosSync have announced an interface between the two products designed to allow swifter communication between estimators, workers, managers and other body shop personnel. The Enhanced Media Module seeks to cut down on time spent and the amount of physical paperwork generated.
Sharon Ashley, one of the designers of BodyshopConnect, says that the interface between the two programs is a perfect pairing for shaving down costs and time.
“Time is money, that’s our key point here,” says Ashley.“It’s to help shops streamline their businesses and get into a truly paperless world. All your documents can be signed electronically; plus the app can take pictures, videos and voice memos. All of it can be sent through the CosmosSync app wirelessly to the BodyshopConnect management system.”
Ashley says the interface between the two systems will help with both organization as well as transmission of documents. “It’s all documented and categorized by the management system into folders,” she says.
The new technology also includes a digital signature technology that Ashley says is ground breaking in the collision repair industry. “All documents that are created – such as a repair authorization or a final invoice for example – can all be electronically signed through the app. This portable electronic signature technology is not available in any other system,” says Ashley.
CosmoSync and BodyshopConnect also hope to help the environment while helping autobody facilities to stay more connected and more successful. “Going digital has a huge positive impact for the environment,” says Ashley. “It’s also a huge dollar saver, in regards to paper, ink, filing and of course: time.”
