Chicago, Illinois — April 27, 2017 — BASF has announced it is returning to NACE Automechanika as a sponsor of the MSO Symposium for the sixth year. The automotive paint supplier is supporting the educational event for multi-shop owners and operators on Wednesday, July 26.
NACE Automechanika 2017 takes place July 26 to 29 at McCormick Place West in Chicago. Collision Repair magazine is the exclusive Canadian media partner for NACE Automechanika 2017.
The symposium will provide dynamic insight on the future of the collision repair industry by key members of the automotive industry. The afternoon will include an industry update, an insurer panel, an OEM panel, MSO panels and a segment on how the new US administration may affect business for collision repairers.
John Shoemaker, BASF Business Development Manager, will also conduct two classes at NACE Automechanika on Wednesday, July 26:
• Effective Estimating (8 to 10 a.m.): This course will cover the estimating process, including proper photo techniques, how to use the SCRS Guide to Complete Repair Planning, the need for pre-scanning vehicles, how to reduce insurance company pushback, determining reparability by calculating vehicle value, and more.
• Improve Profits Using Sensible Goals (1 to 2 p.m.): This course will demonstrate how to make small improvements in multiple areas of the shop to increase sales.
“We are thrilled to be a part of the MSO Symposium for the sixth year in a row,” said BASF Refinish Sales Director Tim Dawe. “MSOs continue to grow through acquisitions and this education is critical to their success in platform standardization, superior results—financially and technically—and managing their businesses.”
