Barrie, Ontario — CSN Zenetec has achieved Tesla certification, adding a 13th OEM cert to the collision centre’s roster.
Greg Sherman, business development manager at CSN Zenetec, said the facility opted for Tesla OEM certification to bring much-needed service to Tesla owners in the Barrie area.
“There was no one available to service Teslas in our area, north of the GTA,” said Greg. “There are customers in Collingwood, Muskoka and the Barrie that would need to travel to Vaughan in the event of a collision. In that case, it’s no longer an in-and-out drop-off; it could take half a day just to get the vehicle to the shop.”
For the facility—which touts 13 OEM certifications and serves as the exclusive certified collision repair centre for nine Barrie-based vehicle brands—OEM certifications provide “trifold” benefits.
“In order to fix a vehicle properly today, you need to have access to OEM procedures, which requires certification of the brand. If we can confidently put our customers back in their cars following an accident, the vehicle needs to be repaired to OEM specs,” says Sherman.
He said the facility’s collection of certifications also demonstrates CSN Zenetec’s strength and dedication to quality repairs.
“We consider ourselves a leader not only in our market but in the industry. We pride ourselves on staying ahead of the curve and certification allows us to do that.”
Further, Sherman says the OEM seals allow staff access to top-of-the-line training.
“By partnering with OEMs, we’re also giving our technicians something to work towards,” said Greg. “The OEM training available to our staff really gives us an edge in our market.”
Despite the tumultuous year that was 2020, Sherman says he’s hugely proud of his staff for their resilience and dedication to their craft, and the business remains in a position of strength in years to come.
“The last year has been difficult on everyone,” said Greg. “But, thanks to the support of our staff and team members, I truly believe we are stronger than we’ve ever been.”
