Scottsdale, Arizona — October 16, 2015 — A new range of short wave infrared equipment is being introduced in North America. Originally developed in Germany, B-TEC Systems says its infrared range has been highly successful in Europe and is already available in 24 countries around the world.
A statement from the company says the range has a model for all applications, from a small 500 watt unit used for minor repairs to a 6000 watt unit for multi-panel work. The North American distributor, B-TEC USA, says the flagship unit, IR-B03-T, has been tested here in North America and the curing performance has been impressive. Urethane high build primers are getting fully cured in only 12 minutes, ready to sand. The unit is also reported to boast a low running cost, with the company saying it should cost around $0.10 per bake cycle.
“We are really excited about this product and look forward to mirroring the success we have had in Europe,” says Jim Stubert of B-TEC USA. “We have recruited the services of Peter Phillipson, who was the Vice President of Trisk for many years. Peter is very highly regarded in the infrared refinishing business and he will be driving the infrared activities for us in his role as Manager, Technical Sales & Marketing.”
B-TEC USA, LLC will be appointing select distributors to handle the new range.
