Toronto, Ontario — Canadian Tesla drivers are excited to sit back and do nothing, now that the “Full Self-Driving” beta has officially launched, which offers autonomous driving capabilities to a select batch of customers.
With the 2022.4.5.20 software update, Canada becomes the first country outside of the U.S. to join the beta which, at this point, is only offered to drivers who score 99 or 100 points on the company’s Safety Score app.
Auto enthusiasts and Tesla fans took to social media in the wee hours of Sunday night to test out the new software as soon as it dropped into their vehicles.
At a Q&A session held with employees in Berlin, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said that the beta is expected to take its first steps into Europe later on this year.
