By CRM staff

Toronto, Ontario — November 28, 2018 — A vehicle salesperson in St. Catharines, Ont. has been suspended of their dealers license for cheating on the exam of their OMVIC certification course.

OMVIC, Ontario’s vehicle sales regulator, has suspended Hawkwar Hayder Pirbal Manmi license and has issued a proposal to ban Manmi from ever receiving his dealer’s license again.

OMVIC found that he had an individual provide with him the answers to the exam for the OMVIC certification course that is a prerequisite to a dealer’s registration.

“This is a regulated industry and we expect all dealers and sales people to act with honesty and integrity,” stated John Carmichael, OMVIC CEO and registrar. “We cannot allow registrants to sell motor vehicles who have not demonstrated an understanding of the regulations governing vehicle sales or who act with deceit.”
