Toronto, Ontario — All week, Collision Repair has been highlighting AutoHouse Technologies’ key findings from its 2019 Benchmark Report on the performance of Canadian collision facilities in 2018.
Today, in the final part of the series, we take a closer look at some of the big takeaways from the report’s look at the most important of collision facility metrics—touch times.
In its in-depth analysis of the Canadian collision industry, AutoHouse Technologies found the average touch time at the average facility remained untouched in 2019, at 2.6 hours.
This echoes 2018’s Benchmark Report results, where touch times also saw no change from 2017.
Geography, it appears, has a significant impact on touch times. In Western Canada, the average touch time is 2.4 hours, compared to 2.7 hours in the east.
