Toronto, Ontario — November 30, 2018 — AutoCanada announced Tuesday that Kijiji will become its preferred online marketplace partner in Canada.
The partnership will provide AutoCanada dealers with access to Kijiji’s network of users, along with providing solutions to address AutoCanada’s size, scale and geographic scope. On the other side of the cooperation, Kijiji will benefit from an expanded automotive inventory, being able to provide its customers with a greater selection of vehicles.
The partnership with AutoCanada will be inclusive of both Kijiji and Kijiji Autos – an automotive property created to makes car shopping more convenient for Canadians.
We are very excited to partner with Kijiji,” said Paul Antony, executive chairman of AutoCanada. “Using the size and scale of AutoCanada’s platform to develop deep partnerships with our strategic vendors, rather than having traditional supplier relationships, is a pivotal turning point in the evolution of our company. Translating those benefits to our dealers to help operate our business in a more efficient and effective manner is a key pillar of our go-forward plan. We are focused on the future of automotive retail in North America and we are constantly looking at new and innovative ways to shape the future of our industry.”
“AutoCanada’s dealership database and Kijiji’s automotive marketplace made this partnership a natural fit,” said Leanne Kripp, director of Autos at Kijiji. “As a first-of-its-kind partnership, this is a huge vote of confidence for the work we’re doing to provide greater value for dealers and showcases our commitment to making the car buying journey easier for Canadians.”
