Oakville, Ontario — September 12, 2016 — Assured Automotive held its 11th annual Charity Golf Tourmanent recently at Glen Abbey Golf Club in Oakvile, Ont. The tournament was in support of the Michael “Pinball” Clemons Foundation (MPCF).
Partners from across the auto claims economy, including insurers, manufacturers, suppliers and dealers, came together with the executive team and other staff from Assured Automotive to help make the day a success.
In all, 140 golfers turned out to help raise funds for MPCF, which strives to reach the most under resourced individuals at home and around the world.
Diane Clemons, Co-Founder of MPCF, was in attendance at the tournament to speak about the various community initiatives being focused on by the foundation.
“It was truly a pleasure to have Diane speak at our event on behalf of the foundation,” says Des Browne of Assured Automotive. “Diane is a fabulous person and spoke very eloquently regarding their focus on providing support for underprivileged children in communities across the GTA and beyond. Their philosophy is one that resonated with all of our guests: ‘Our motto is to provide youth with a hand up, not a hand out.'”
By the end of the day, Assured Automotive and its partners managed to raise in excess of $10,000 for MPCF.
“We were once again humbled by the support we received from our industry partners in helping Assured support such a wonderful charity,” says Browne. “We’d like to thank all of those in attendance who took time out of their busy schedules to join us.”
The day concluded with dinner and awards for outstanding performance during the tournament. For more information on Assured Automotive, please visit assuredauto.ca.
