ARC’s Life Raft: Association seeks more support for COVID-19 relief fund

Toronto, Ontario — The Automotive Recyclers of Canada is asking vendors and suppliers to support its Covid-19 Relief Fund, which supports members during the Covid-19 pandemic and recovery.

In a statement, the association wrote: “While auto recyclers have been designated as an essential business in most parts of Canada, the strain to try to remain operational, support employees, and provide a safe and secure alternative of auto parts for repairs – have all taken their toll on members.”

Previously, it was announced that Car-Part Pro had made a $5,000 donation. The association is working to secure funding from other organizations.

“We are in discussions with other vendors and suppliers to also help out,” said ARC chair Wally Dingman. “Without a healthy auto recycling industry, these businesses will have a hard time with the recovery that will come. We are all in this together.”
