Ottawa, Ontario — October 19, 2016 — Every student could use a funding boost. AIA Canada has now opened applications for the 2016 Arthur Paulin Scholarship. Scholarship recipients receive $700 to pursue their studies in an automotive aftermarket industry-related program at a Canadian college or university.
The scholarships are awarded annually across Canada to qualified students enrolled in automotive programs. One scholarship will be awarded to a student pursuing studies at the Canadian Automotive Institute of Georgian College in Barrie, Ontario.
To qualify, applicants must be enrolled in an automotive aftermarket industry-related program or curriculum at a Canadian college or university. This includes students pursuing their studies as an automotive apprentice.
The Arthur Paulin Automotive Aftermarket Scholarship Award was named after long-time AIA volunteer, Arthur Paulin. Paulin served as President of H. Paulin and Company, a distributor and manufacturer of fasteners, fluid system products, automotive parts and screw machine components, for over 35 years and became Chairman of the AIA Board in 1990. He served on the AIA Board of Directors for more than nine years and also served as President of AIA. The legal name of the Arthur Paulin Automotive Aftermarket Scholarship Awards is the “AIA Scholarship Trust Fund.”
