Elk Grove, California — September 27, 2017 — ALLDATA has unveiled its newest technology platform. According to ALLDATA, the new platform features extensive, integrated updates to ALLDATA Repair and ALLDATA Collision, as well as interactive colour wiring diagrams that ALLDATA says give technicians the option to work with non-OEM and factory-direct wiring diagrams.
The vehicle data in ALLDATA covers more than 38,000 engine-specific vehicles, which the company says is 95 percent of all vehicles on the road today.
In addition, the new platform provides a single search look-up that provides both tech-verified repairs and factory-direct information on one screen, helping technicians find relevant repair information faster. The interface has also been redesigned to be more intuitive.
ALLDATA has also added more than 300,000 non-OEM interactive colour wiring diagrams.
“The response to the updated ALLDATA Repair and Collision has been extremely enthusiastic,” said Mitch Major, President of ALLDATA. “Making these significant enhancements—including interactive color wiring diagrams —was a direct result of feedback from our existing customer base. We listened to what they wanted and have now delivered a radically advanced technology platform with best-in-class performance and usability.”
The new platform’s wiring diagrams allow technicians to view diagrams side-by-side, highlight a specific wire across all pages in a diagram series and hide non-highlighted wires. Techs can also pan within a diagram to home in on details, and toggle between OEM and non-OEM diagrams for quick comparisons.
