Blainville, Quebec – Fix Network has pledged support once again to the Ronald McDonald House Charities Canada (RMHC CANADA) by launching its initiative to help families with sick children during these stressful times.
The initiative will run through the whole month of December to help support RMHC’s 34 programs across Canada that provide families with a home to stay that is close to their sick child who is being treated at a nearby hospital.
To support RHMC, Fix Network is encouraging its franchise partners and staff to support the “Season of Giving” initiative and donate generously.
“We are truly grateful for the generosity of Fix Network, its franchise partners, and staff during this time of great need,” said Leslie Hederson, national partnerships director for RMHC Canada. “This initiative will provide much-needed funding to help RMHC continue to deliver its core mission of providing meals, accommodations, and support for families staying at Ronald McDonald Ronald McDonald Houses and Family Rooms across Canada.”
In 2019, RHMC’s programs helped over 26,000 families stay close to their sick child and the care they need. However, due to COVID, RHMC across Canada has been experiencing a time of great need with revenue declines of up to 60 per cent.
“This year has been challenging for all of us, and especially for families with a sick child. This Season of Giving, I am excited to see our network come together to show support for families in our communities, now more than ever,” said Somer Mullins, national director for marketing and communications for Fix Network Canada.
Since 2016, Fix Network and its employees and partners have been closely associated with RMHC Canada, contributing more than $250,000 over the past three years. Donors can contribute to online donations.
And to kickstart the initiative—Fix Network will donate $10,000.
