Ottawa, Ontario — Last Friday, Myers Automotive Group hosted a high-stakes employee appreciation event for the CARSTAR Barrhaven and CARSTAR Ottawa South Centre teams that was anything but a bust as it featured a little slice of Las Vegas in the form of a casino theme.
“We’ve been trying to think of something different than pizza and bowling,” said Shawn Jamieson, vice president, Myers Auto Group. “It got me thinking. We’ve had some big wins this year and I knew we needed to celebrate in a new way.”
Specifically, attendees from All In Casino came in to set up winning events such as blackjack, roulette, ultimate hold’em and craps tables for the staff to enjoy.
More than 30 employees showed up for the landmark event.
“Everyone who came to the event was talking about how amazing it was when they came into work on Monday.”
Shawn is also brainstorming for the next themed employee night.
“We’ll probably do this again, the casino night,” he told Collision Repair. “But I’m already excited and thinking about new ideas.”
Shawn further concluded that “ultimately, our staff is our number one resource. It’s important that they know that, and events like this help show them how special they are.”
